Being part of the nursery from Freshers (0-2 years), Sophomores (2-3 years) and Scholars (3-5 years) the children make friends, interact with each other and staff throughout their time with us. In no time at all you will learn the names of your children’s new friends and carers.
We love messy play, just look at our Facebook page to see all the daily activities the children get up to. Imaginations run wild from spacemen and dinosaurs to all the colours of the rainbow.
The Oxford Nursery Summertown boasts two lovely gardens, one grass surface and one sand, known as ‘The Beach’. We have an ‘access all areas’ philosophy and children may visit any of the rooms for activities and stories but they all have a dedicated base room relative to their ages, The Freshers for 0-2years, The Sophomores for 2-3 years and The Scholars for 3-5 years. ‘The Quod’ is a large base room where the children can play and join up for group story, singing and performance sessions. Each base room has facilities for sleep and meal times.

We have a dedicated, experienced and knowledgeable team of staff at both our sites.

Our primary concern is to create an environment to nurture the best start in life.

We offer Early Years Education Funding for children age 9 months and over.

We deliver a big dose of enthusiasm to create meaningful and fun learning experiences.

My sone has been attending this nursery for almost a year, and is so happy to go to “school” every morning on nursery days. He loves all the carers, and is constantly saying and doing new things which I realise he learns in the nursery.Posted on Google Amir BajcincaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wonderful nursery all around, great staff!Posted on Google Priya DabasiaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We knew 5 minutes into our visit to the Oxford Nursery that it was the perfect place for our son (17 months). Having viewed a couple of other nurseries, we loved that the setting was stimulating and clean but without feeling clinical - we felt like we had joined one big, happy family! Our son had a difficult time getting settled at first, as it coincided with a dreaded combo of separation anxiety and teething. His key person and the whole team were incredibly patient and caring - it was clear how much concern they had for his wellbeing and development as they tried different strategies to help him feel confident and happy. A few weeks on and he's almost reluctant to come home at pick-up! We are constantly reassured by their updates on the Famly app, even down to the amount of food he has eaten and the cream they’ve used when changing his nappy. We feel so heartened by the photo updates showing him engaging in the daily activities and weekly themes. Every week, we see our son doing new things at home and realise he’s learned them at nursery! It’s the best decision we have made and we can’t wait to see how he carries on flourishing under their care.Posted on Google Fiona YTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The Oxford Nursery Summertown is absolutely brilliant! My son is so happy there and enjoys all the different activities provided. As a mother of 3 my children have attended many different nurseries over the years and this is by far the best one! Julie, the manager, is kind and accommodating and nothing ever feels like too much trouble! Barnali, the room manager, is always so upbeat, happy and positive. Anita, Michelle and all the other staff members are always patient, caring and provide a home away from home atmosphere. I am so pleased with this nursery and couldn't recommend it highly enough!Posted on Google Andy GunnTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our son has been at the Oxford nursery (Summertown) for 2.5 years and he is very happy there. The staff are wonderful and he has developed soo much since being there. The staff really do go the extra mile to make the experience fun, educational and safe and we are constantly surprised by the brilliant activities the staff put on for the children. We would highly recommend this nursery to others, it’s wonderful!Posted on Google Liz DudleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The Oxford Nursey are just amazing, I cannot rate them highly enough. My sons attended from 3 years and from 11 months, and both have absolutely thrived under the warm, expert, friendly staff, lovely facilities, and endless fun and creative activities. The Manager is approachable and so helpful, and I feel like every member of staff really cares about what they do. I'd give them 10 stars if I could!Posted on Google Rebecca WatkinsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This nursery has been brilliant for our little girl. She has bonded so well with the staff and really enjoys all the activities. Highly recommend.Posted on Google Christina PaulTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We love Oxford Nursery. Our daughter, who had attended another nursery, settled right in and liked it better than the other school. The teachers are lovely and sweet. We get (very adorable) daily updates. There is a lot of effort put in to engaging the children and teaching them all sorts of things. I am a partial fan of the “yes, please, mummy” that came home recently, as well as the art made using a dinosaur as a stamp. I will also say that communication with the school is fast and clear.Posted on Google Rocio Zuñiga BarcenaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I viewed several nurseries before coming to the Oxford Nursery and I can say that we are very happy with our choice. You can see the staff loves children. Our son (27 months old) is very happy to go to the nursery every morning. He loves all of carers. We would highly recommend this nursery.Posted on Google Hannah CookTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My son (16 months) has recently started at Oxford Nursery Summertown. Naturally, it was a big transition for him. He is now very settled and loves his days at nursery. It is wonderful to watch him happily going in and see the bond between him and his key worker. My daughter who has now left the nursery, was also incredibly happy there.
Full or part time day care is offered as well as after school care and Holiday care.
Regular gardening and growing all sorts of great vegetables are then harvested and cooked, often by our little chefs. We are certain we will have a Cordon Bleu chef someday. All of these experiences and learning journeys are captured throughout the day and parents/guardians receive daily updates.
